Four 1950s views of Peachtree Street between 6th and 7th Street. The two story building became the famous gay club Backstreet in the 1970s, and the whole block was developed into the Viewpoint condominium in the late 2000s. From what I can tell, the Backstreet building was remodeled sometime between 1952 and 1956 and housed Lang’s Interiors and an architect’s office. Also at some point during that period, the Burdine Building was constructed on its north side. Midtown Atlanta
