A 1960s illustration of “a better tomorrow” along Ponce de Leon Avenue.  Interesting that the Beltline was already eyed for mass transit, and the Sears building was allowed to stay.  Thankfully plans for the blank office building + plaza there came into fruition.  Midtown Atlanta.

10th Street east of Peachtree, 1960.  If I’m not mistaken, the reddish building on the left with the “lunch” sign housed Jock’s and Jill’s for a while.  That would make it the only building in this picture that’s survived to present day.  Midtown Atlanta.
